After I had escaped the crowds we went to the after party at the Napa Valley Grill.
There Cher and I sped right past all the celebrity tables to the ladies room. Naturally, there was a line that extended the length of the hallway. Way too long. With the help of Daphne Zuniga (the princess from Spaceballs) we snuck into the mens room. Once we were done, I had to sneak by the dessert table full of brownies, chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes.
Most people were very excited to be among the celebrities, I have to admit that I was very excited about the food and free drinks. Arugula salad. Pasta. Lamb. Kobe burgers. Ahi. It was great because I was starving going into the movie. After a few drinks and all my helpings of dinner, I went with Cher to snake around and see who was there.
Cher got entirely excited about seeing Warren Beatty and Annette Bening's table. She managed to take a picture with Warren for her mother. Later we manage to takeover Debra Messing's (after all the drinks, we managed to call her D.Mess) booth and drink her stuff. We made friends with a very cute couple, Kate and Taylor, who also got excited when the 90's dance hits came on. Who then forced me to do the snake. What? So I forced Cher to talk to her bearded party crush. We don't know his name. We just call him Sexy Jesus.
After speaking to many people, it had occurred to me that many men in Los Angeles have a a few standard conversation starters/enders: movies (including their place in "the industry"), tattoos (show and tell), or even a distaste for the lower class/black people. (Yes, we just walked away). Needless to say, later Cher and I just laughed a lot at these lame guys' expense over grilled cheese at Kitchen 24 back in Hollywood away from the meat headed UCLA students and aspiring/accomplished industry douche bags and back to our vain and aesthetically Bohemian neighbors.
Laundry list of celebrities we saw tonight (just so you know): Candice Bergen, Debra Messing, Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith, Warren Beatty, Tara Reid, Daphne Zuniga, Debi Mazar, "Ryan Schechter's mom", "the woman who killed Selena in the movie", and Eva Mendes.

So girls, I'm probably of your mother's generation which I will prove by my question: How did Warren Beatty look in the flesh? How tall is he? Was he nice?

Warren was very handsome. He was dressed in a creme colored suit with little brown shoes that made Cher smile. The same way a cute puppy would affect her. As some would say "he's still got it!"

Warren Beatty is at least a foot taller than me and Cher, which around 6". He was friendly and smiley to everyone around. He was nice. Cher and Warren took a photo together. I hope that helps you.
Thank you Anne. Reason for asking is that I read a commentary of somebody who said Beatty was miffed that the press asked him to step aside when they wanted to photograph Will Smith and that he "pushed Annette Bening around".... Did you see any evidence of this?
